About Us
Bella Luna is Harrisonburg's first farm-to-table pizza restaurant.
Our Neapolitan-inspired, thin-crusted pizza is baked at 900 degrees in a traditional wood-fired oven, just as it was over 200 years ago in Naples, Italy. This Old World process, featuring high heat and live flame, allows us to create a crust with wonderfully unique textures and flavors.
Our dough is hand-made fresh daily, using only four ingredients: flour, water, salt and yeast. Guests may watch as our pizza chefs press out the dough, top it with artisanal ingredients and slide it into the wood-fired oven. After about two minutes in the intense heat, our pizza, with its blistered crust and caramelized toppings, is ready for your table.
Our pizzas, hand-made pastas, salads and appetizers feature house-made mozzarella and sausage, as well as seasonal produce, cheeses and meats delivered daily from small family farms in the Shenandoah Valley and Central Virginia. We use an abundant renewable resource to heat our wood-fired oven: local white and red oak.
